The central library
The central library of the College of Agriculture, Pune was established in 1908. It is one of the oldest agricultural libraries in India. It has a seating capacity for 450 students in the 5 different reading areas. The primary mission of the library is to support the education and research programmes by providing physical and intellectual access to information consistent with the present and the anticipated educational and research functions of the College. Library aims to develop a community of the College. The collection of the library includes books, journals, e – journals, e – books, reports, maps, conference proceedings, CD-ROM data bases, video cassettes, etc. The library have an archives of more than 135 print journals in different disciplines. In addition, more than 5000 journals are accessible on line through CeRA and J-Gate subscription. The total holding of the library exceeds 60,000 documents. The library offers services such as reference service, user guidance service, circulation service including inter library loan and document delivery service, Xerox service, internet, CD- ROM search service, etc.
